Doug West has been with Rowe Transfer for roughly four years now.  He works in our custom crating department creating and building crates for a variety of customers and projects.  Before joining the Rowe team, Doug was an owner/operator of a transportation company and still drives for Rowe on occasion, as needed.

However, Doug also has a building background and even helped his dad build his home.  The most interesting and toughest job Doug remembers thus far was building a crate for a company in the concert/music industry to transport monitors, mixing boards, and other entertainment equipment.  The crates were complicated and intriguing and required several compartments and padding to ensure that the equipment was transported safely and without harm.

Doug grew up in Knox County.  He and his wife Doris, a clinical trial coordinator, have two children, 14-year-old Josh and 24-year-old Erica.  Doug enjoys catch and release trout fly-fishing and fishes all over the area in places such as Tellico and the lower Clinch.  When he has time, Doug flips houses on the side during the summer.

Rowe Transfer takes pride in their team members and gives many of them to opportunity to cross-train and work in multiple areas.  Rowe is always looking for qualified team members to join them.  If you want to work with us head over to our careers page to apply.
